Attire For Competitions
A number of issues have been raised with the Committee relating to some isolated instances of inappropriate attire being worn by players during competitions. Some of these include:
2. Collarless tee shirts
3 Football shirts
4. Beach or swim shorts
The Committee wanted to remind all members playing in competitions of the need to wear appropriate golf attire at all times. We want to avoid being overly prescriptive and/or restrictive by specifying a detailed list of what is and is not appropriate because it is anticipated that the vast majority of members will take a common sense approach and understand what attire is suitable to wear whilst playing in club competitions and matches.
However, where members are considered to be repeatedly falling short of the expected standard of appropriate attire, they may be prevented from entering competitions until the issue is resolved.
This applies only to competitions/matches and not social golf.
